In Esperanto, you have to use "de". However, you can vary the word order to make things clearer, example:

Jam forveturis la kolego de mia amiko, kiun mi renkontis en la butiko. {=> Mi renkontis mian amikon.}

Jam forveturis la de mia amiko kolego, kiun mi renkontis en la butiko. {=> Mi renkontis la kolegon de mia amiko.}

Analogously, Zamenhof worded e. g.: "Tre charme ghi lumis, la suno ravanta, en mia de vivo mateno ..." kaj: "... kiuj glitas libere sur la por aliaj tro malglata shelo de la vivo."

Please refer to the rule according to which such a word order is incorrect.
