Meaning of aĵo

According to this: lernu-sufikso, kokidaĵo = chicken meat, and from other sources I know fishajho = fish-meat, bovaĵo = beef.

So why is araneaĵo = a spider's web, and azenaĵo = a donkey-like (=stupid) thing?

Why is it not spider-meat and donkey-meat?

How would you even say donkey meat in esperanto?

Are we just supposed to remember which "concrete" thing goes with which noun?

If so, what is the point of having -aĵ- as a suffix?

Aĵo povas esti abstrakta rezulto de ago: pensi -> pensaĵo (rezulto) sed pensado (ago)

Azenaĵo povas esti laŭ la kunteksto viando aŭ stulta ago (ĉar la tradicio mise taksas la azenojn tiaj). Se la kunteksto ne estas klara, vi povas paroli pri azena viando aŭ azeneca ago.

Iam aĵo estas tio, kio estis antaŭ ago: manĝaĵo.
Iam aĵo restas (preskaŭ) senŝanĝa post ago: legaĵo. Oni povas distingi legotaĵon, lagataĵon kaj legitaĵon.
Azeneca aĵo estas azenecaĵo, sed ofte oni forigas unu el sufiksoj laŭ principo de neceso kaj sufiĉo kaj ricevas azenaĵon aŭ azenecon.

Sometimes aĵo is a thing, which existed before the action: manĝaĵo (food).
Sometimes aĵo doesn't change during the action: legaĵo (reading).
Donkey-like thing is azenecaĵo, but they often throw off some suffixes and get azenaĵo or azeneco.

Could you say something like "azenviando", "fishviando" instead to make it clearer?
Leaving -aĵo to mean something else.

Kremglacio would also make more sense that glaciaĵo. Glaciaĵo could be anything made from ice. An icicle (pendglacio?), an ice sculpture (glacio skulptaĵo?)....

Do la difino estas malkorekta: pensaĵo ne estas konkreta. Estas abstrakta.

Glaciaĵo has its own meaning:

Jes. "glaciigita kremo": Ĉu do kremglacio estas pli bona nomo?

and in case my Esperanto is wrong:

glaciigita kremo = frozen cream: so kremglacio would be a better name, would it not?

"Glaciaĵo" is only "glaciigita kremo", ice-cream, not icicle "pendglacio" or something else.
Similar "homaro" is mankind, not group of people.

I'm not so sure about that. Homaro may be translated as '(hu)mankind', but it is literally all people bound together as one and rendered as a universal 'thing'.
