I teach at Seattle Academy and beginning to study Esperanto with some of my students.

Are all of these correct? If not, which would be strictly wrong? Which would be best in terms of a name for a school.

1. Seatlo Akademio
2. Seatla Akademio
3. Akademia Seatlo
4. Adademio Seatlo

Dankon!

I'd say Akademio de Seatlo.

I second Rogir.

My own suggestion would be Lernejo Seatlo, if I understand correctly that this is a secondary school covering the whole post-primary curriculum, and not just the two or three years immediately before university - that sort of institution could be an akademio or altlernejo.

Alternatives might be Liceo Seatlo or Gimnazio Seatlo. These words come from terms used for secondary schools in Europe.

Concerning your own four suggestions: in Esperanto, with entities described by a name the name comes after the noun, so that we would translate "Zamenhof Way" or "Zamenhof Cafe" respectively by Vojo Zamenhof and Kafejo Zamenhof. Thus, if your school were an altlernejo for adolescents, the fourth of your suggestions would be correct, assuming that you meant to write Akademio Seatlo.
