I understand that in Esperanto you need to distinguish between ke and kio/kiu -

La ĉambro ke mi vidis
La chambre que j'ai vu

La ĉambro kio estis bela
La chambre qui était belle

But in French there is a third case that I'm not sure how to get in Esperanto.

The room which you slept in
La chambre dans lequel tu dormais (vous dormiez)

Hello!

airpath:I understand that in Esperanto you need to distinguish between ke and kio/kiu -

La ĉambro ke mi vidis
This should be:

La ĉambro, kiun mi vidis

airpath:La ĉambro kio estis bela
This should be:

La ĉambro, kiu estis bela

airpath:But in French there is a third case that I'm not sure how to get in Esperanto.

The room which you slept in
La chambre dans leaquelle tu dormais (vous dormiez)
La ĉambro, en kiu vi dormis

So it's like in French: preposition and relative pronoun are not split up.

Summary: The English relative pronoun that|which is kiu[jn] in Esperanto.

And finally an example using ke (a conjunction, not a relative pronoun!):

en: I know [that] the room is beautiful.

fr: Je sais que la chambre est belle.

eo: Mi scias, ke la ĉambro estas bela.

As Kolonjano was saying, Kio is almost like a noun, where as kiu is like an adjective and can be used to say "which, that which" etc.

And you also could have said:

La ĉambro, kie vi dormis.
right?
