Let us all speak in miscellaneous onomatopoeic cries, shrills and gurgle noises.

Yeah this thread has gotten way outta hand.

So one thing about the topic that I didn't really understand: did the publisher know Esperanto and translate it into French?

You're lucky not to understand only one topic - I don't understand this whole thread at all - by the way, what is it about?

I think it must have been about magical fairys that became irritated when they discovered they were speaking french; This thread has broken so many records, i am sure the fairys cast a spell on it so everyone would know that esperanto does have a colourful culture! rido.gif

This is not logical - since fairies are artificial beings, how could they ever speak sort of a non-artificial language like French (and what for if they are not in France). Esperanto is ideal here. And how could the publisher change anything in author's work whithout an approval? Changing esperanto to French requires the knowledge of esperanto, it requires an esperantist to cooperate. How could any esperantist do such a sin (unless he/she was French of course), that's a mystery. ploro.gif

Returning to the thread's theme, does anyone know the law on copyright in the U.S., as it applies to publishers changing an author's work without permission?

philodice:After I approved the final draft to go to print/publish, my editor changed all the Esperanto to French!
Now my EO speaking fairies are a dream that is crushed. I'm mad.
I'm thinking of releasing a "director's cut" edition of my book with the EO intact.
Even better, an Esperanto Translation of the whole book.
It is only 50,000 words...any help here? (Joke maybe, but I'd love to thumb my nose at them in this way.)
Amazon has an Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing service. Maybe that can help to publish the original E-o version.

razlem:Y U NO SPEAK IN MEME?!?!
That gave me couple of ideas about Esperanto memes:

- Someone with communication problems and a "Y u no speak Esperanto?" at the end.

- A picture of "Zamenhof with Lejzers"... senkulpa.gif rido.gif
