Hi

Anyone know a good Esperanto translation for whiz as in 'computer whiz' or 'whiz kid'?

Thanks
Vix

Here's a few suggestions. An expert could be a spertulo, while someone who was skilled at something could be a lertulo. Someone with talent could be a talentulo. A genius could be a geniulo, while a prodigy could be a infangeniulo.

"Komputilulo" could be an option if you're not like me and can't actually say it without saying "kompititututolo". Ergo I don't recommend saying it if you happen to be a clone of me.

Afterall, it's not like you're going to call a computer illiterate person "the computer dude"

Lertulo is also an option.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Probably 'genius' or 'prodigy' was the sort of meaning I was wanting to convey but not quite so strong.
I guess in English the slang whiz/wiz is great as it also can be short for wizard, ie implying that that someone can work their magic on something.

Whizz is more likely to come from the idea of speed than wizardry, but you could say komputika sorĉisto for computer whizz-kid.
