My internal esperanto monologue harassed me today when i could not find a word for "bored". Some possibilities i thaught of are:

malpensi - opposite of thought???? demando.gif
nepensi - no thoughts. sounds better, but i can lack thought and still not be bored
lacpensi - tired thoughts. Might give the impression that the thought is old and almost dead
lacmensi - tired mind. Sounds like i need to go to sleep. Mmmmmmm, sleep.

So far, i like malpensi, although i am not too sure if anyone would understand the word. Is there an established word for "bored"?

As johmue has said:

And:

to be boring = enuigi

Better solution is to do something creative and good for humanity instead of being boredridulo.gif, then you will never need to know how to say "bored" in esperantoridulo.gif

He'll need it to say someone else is bored rido.gif.

Out of curiousity, is "enui" form "ennuyer"? Does that mean "enui" Esperante can have a connotation of "bothered"?

Bona enketo btw.

Doesn't seem so according to ReVo.

I might be forced to listen to a really boring speech, so i may be chatting to an esperantist through text on my mobile.
Hmmm, Lets try translate that.
Eble mi devigas aŭskuti al enuega parolo, do eble mi parolas kun esperantisto per teksto sur mia poŝttelefono.

ceigered :Bona enketo btw.
one of many extremly important questions that must be asked lango.gif

chrisim101010:mi devigas
= "I'm forcing"
I think what you mean is mi devos.
chrisim101010: aŭskuti
aŭskulti
chrisim101010:enuega parolo
The speech is not bored, but boring (enu(eg)iga).
chrisim101010:mi parolas
Isn't this in the future? mi parolos
chrisim100110:poŝttelefono
It's not a "mail telephone", but a "pocket telephone" (poŝtelefono). rideto.gif

That would be enuiga (which is in Wells, BTW).
