There will be those who reference my life. They will tell you that because I have failed, you will too. Do not believe them. They do not speak for me. ~ KI4JGTIt's a quote I wrote the other day, and would like to put it on my facebook page in Esperanto.

darkweasel:i'd say "ankau vi malsukcesos" and "ne kredu al tiuj", the rest is fine. Why is it wrong? I can't see any error there. Only maybe would be a little more clear using:
Ili ne parolas nome de mi
instead of
Ili ne parolas por mi
But it is arguable...

geo63:normally "ankau" is put before the thing that it refers to.darkweasel:i'd say "ankau vi malsukcesos" and "ne kredu al tiuj", the rest is fine. Why is it wrong? I can't see any error there.
vi ankau malsukcesos = not only will you do sth. else but you will also fail
ankau vi malsukcesos = not only sb. else will fail but you too.
i normally put a person one believes after "kredi" into an al-complement and the thing/saying one believes into a direct object. maybe this is only because it's how it's done in german, however. (ich glaube dir das = mi kredas tion al vi = i believe what you're saying)

acdibble:The comma should be before "ke".the comma introduces the "char"-clause.
you can put one before "ke" too but that is not necessary.
btw revo and its examples seem to agree with me concerning "kredi".

»Ili diros al vi, ke, ĉar mi malsukcesis, vi ankaŭ malsukcesos.«
This can be rewritten as:
»Ili diros al vi, ke vi ankaŭ malsukcesos, ĉar mi malsukcesis.«
The first sentence just embeds the "ĉar"-clause into the "ke"-clause.
You can even switch the clauses and the sentence will still make sense:
»Ili diros al vi, ĉar mi malsukcesis, ke vi ankaŭ malsukcesos.«

acdibble:isn't that what we are trying to do?
The first sentence just embeds the "ĉar"-clause into the "ke"-clause.

anyway - commas before subclauses are optional so if you insist on putting a comma there, nothing is stopping you.
or maybe i have just misunderstood your explanation why there is supposed to be a comma there.
