Alkanadi:Ĉu vi aŭskultis la paroladoI didn't quite understand the question, but Alkanadi's answer gives six wrong sentences.
Did you listen to the speech
It should be
Ĉu vi aŭskultis la paroladon?
and so on.

Leke:Would it be wrong to say al in this instance? Like...Think of auxskulti as "to listen to" as well as "listen", so no "al" is needed.
Aŭskultu al mi -- Listen to me.

orthohawk:The "al" would not be required, if the accusative is used:Leke:Would it be wrong to say al in this instance? Like...Think of auxskulti as "to listen to" as well as "listen", so no "al" is needed.
Aŭskultu al mi -- Listen to me.
-> Aŭskultu min.
However, a preposition would be required if the accusative is not used.
-> Aŭskultu al mi.
-> Aŭskultu je mi.

BoriQa:When using it as a transitive verb "to listen to _____", you need the accusative. Otherwise you can use a preposition if you want, but it doesn't make as much sense IMHO.orthohawk:The "al" would not be required, if the accusative is used:Leke:Would it be wrong to say al in this instance?
