I am finding a lot of mistakes. Are these computer generated or is it a person who does this?

Well in some contexts hazardous would do as a translation of riska - a hazardous enterprise/venture, involving financial risk or other loss not actually threatening to life or limb.

But certainly the usage of hazardous is more often closely related to dangerous.

The translation for riska could have been just 'risky'

The word of the day is supposed to be used in the example sentence. They did it again today, which is Jan 5

I was just about to be like, "well, both words can work."

But, as you state, it is quite obvious that the word of the day itself should be used in the example sentence.
