"The name is rather appropriate since the idea for this... concept came as a way to reduce friction and drastically extend the power reserve of the average watch.

Meaning “eternally” in Esperanto, the word Senfine imparts the understanding that it should last forever..."

And this line:

"The choice to use a word from that defunct yet poetic language seems strangely fitting."

Sigh...

Be happy. By the time Esperanto is seen as a useful project, you will be light years ahead of the ones who thought isn't worth it.

It will pay off in the end. The internet is the perfect catalyst for the language.

This concept watch thing isn't so interesting considering that there's a whole major watch company named with an Esperanto name, that frequently chooses Esperanto names for its models (namely, Movado). It's not uncommon to see a Movado watch on the wrists of the movers and shakers of the Esperanto world, probably due to this link.

Talk about sucked in by hope. I think I'll make a product with an Esperanto name.

They're high quality watches. If you're going to go for a good watch, Movado isn't a bad choice. I don't think people would have bought them if they weren't good. I've seen crappy clothing and housewares branded "Esperanto" but have yet to see an Esperanto speaker wearing or using that stuff.

Indeed, quality matters if you're shelling out.

Honestly though, I really am considering an Esperanto name for some accessory products I'm making (hand-sewn leather wash-bags and card cases).

Нецесуха!
They will pronounce 'j' this incorrect - as "Necesuĥo" or "Necesuĝo".
And "-j" ending isn't look good for not-Esperantists.

Who are the movers and shakers and what do they do specifically to help spread Esperanto?
