I envision someone else saying this, but "please, English translations with full-on esperanto posts (in the English forums)"

Traduko/Translation (edited now that I know what "bildstrio" means):
I use "Net-Comicstrip" or only "net-strip" for mine. And yes, the translation is hard when the translator really loves word games. Take a look at (link for my efforts.

I saw "Maldrinki" (and "maltrinki") somewhere else.

The use of sacreligious terms appears to be what you find yourself comfortable with writing.

Ray is a poor translation for "strio", Ceigered. "strip" or "stripe" is a better translation (strip, in this case).

I like to call comics 'boso' (B-S, shortened from bildstriaj rakontoj, just as the French shorten Bande dessinée to 'BD'), because I think the full version seems a little too long and formal for something as fun and informal as comic strips, and more importantly it doesn't already mean something else. Also, I've used the full version and it's not often understood. Every time I use 'boso' in print I make sure there's a explanation so people know what I am talking about.

At the moment I'm the only one doing it, though. malgajo.gif

For webcomics; how about 'retboso'?

I was thinking with regards to image rending where the word "ray" appears many times, and that it might be an Esperanto translation of some cool-sounding imaging program, but since we're talking about comics, it now makes a lot more sense rido.gif

I wouldn't extend "boso" to "retboso" if no one except you even knows that "boso" is. A step too far, I think!

Keep using boso, you never know it might catch on one-day... especially if you'll highly active in the Esperanto comic book business lango.gif
