"leterkesto" and "poŝtkesto" would be similar to "letter box" and "post box" in English then I suppose.
Here in Ireland most houses have a slot without a box, so one would probably only say "leterfendo", or "letertruo".

"Mail slot" sounds more like an American phrase to me.
