Copyright depend on the laws your country. Pokemon names should not be translated. japanese and english have different names the pokemon.

Germa, french, mandarin and korean also have different pokemon names, so perhaps, we should translate them to their respective esperanto counter part.
So like if charmander means "fire-lizard" in Japanese, than translate it as fajrlacerto, or simply lacerto.
