How to say "coming out" in Esperanto?

Finally Ricky Martin is coming out the closet, and it's good for him then. now it's big trend!! Now I want to know what do we say that "coming out" in Esperanto. Thank you!

Alciona:Ekpublikagejeco? Or Ekpublikgejeco*? Begin public gayness?I think the rule for dropping vowels when combining words is to do whatever makes the word easier to pronounce - in this case, I think keeping the vowel would be preferred.

However, I don't have a source for this, so I'd double-check with someone who is more knowledgable/experienced.
