As mentioned by Kocxjo001, 'modo' is not really suitable here.Yes, of course, I wrote too quickly, sorry for that...
What about energidieto?

Yes, modo is used for fashion mainly, (I thought that also to way). so, sxparmoduso, sxparstato, sxparregximo, sxparmaniero, or sxpareco...

Ŝparmodo can hardly refer to fashion in this context.
Moduso doesn't seem to be very international and is not in PIV.
Malalt-potenc-reĝimo is too much of a mouthful.
Depending on the nuance required 'etpova modo' could be used instead of 'ŝparmodo' - or 'etkonsuma modo', or 'etspeza modo'.
Povumo seems to be a relatively new usage, according to the Tekstaro.

NJ Esperantist:Eble: "reĝimo (modo) de limigita energi-konsumo" aŭ "energilimigita reĝimo (modo)" ?
How would you generically express in Esperanto that the ship is on low power?

sudanglo:Using Google Translate to look at other languages, I don't see that there should be a problem about extending the use of 'modo' beyond PIV's definition - just as 'kazo' has been extendedI don't think it's a good idea to use 'modo' like that. ReVo and NPIV are both pretty clear about the meaning of 'modo'.
Ŝparmodo can hardly refer to fashion in this context.
sudanglo:Moduso doesn't seem to be very international and is not in PIV.I mentioned 'moduso' just because I saw it in ReVo, but it seems to be bit of an iffy word. Wells and NPIV don't include it and Kondratjev marks it as highly questionable.
Komputeko and the Komputada Leksikono both suggest 'reĝimo' as a translation for 'mode'. Seems this is the best option.
