I want to say somthing like "I make the plant grow flowers" or "she made me buy it"

Is this how you would translate it in esperanto? " Mi kreskigas florojn al la planto" or "ŝi aĉetigis ĝin al mi."

I am not quite sure. However, you may be translating literarily from English. In Spanish we would use a sentence like I want the plant to grow flowers. In that case I would say: Mi volas ke la planto havu florojn. In the case of she made me buy it, I would say sxi devigis min acxeti gxin.

You can say "Mi igas la planton flori" (aŭ "...kreskigi florojn") and "ŝi igis min aĉeti ĝin".

You can use "igi" just like the "make" in your examples:

„Mi igis la plantojn kreski florojn.”
„Ŝi igis min aĉeti ĝin.“

Ondo:You can say "Mi igas la planton flori" (aŭ "...kreskigi florojn") and "ŝi igis min aĉeti ĝin".
Laŭ mi, "Ŝi igis min aĉeti ĝin" iomete sonas stranga. La stranga parto estas "min âceti ĝin." Sole, la frazo ne havas sencon. Ĉu estus pli ĝuste diri, ke "Ŝi igis, ke mi aĉetis ĝin?"

To me, "Ŝi igis min aĉeti ĝin" sounds a little strange. The strange part is "min aĉeti ĝin." By itself, the sentense doesn't make sense. Would it be more correct to say "Ŝi igis, ke mi aĉetis ĝin?"

Yeah, min acxeti gxin leaves the subject ambiguous.

No, "ŝi igis min aĉeti ĝin" is perfect and unambiguous style.

Alternatives are "ŝi aĉetiĝis ĝin al mi" or "ŝi aĉetigis min je ĝi", though less common and transparent.

But it's so awkward. See this...
In such cases, it is perfectly ordinary (but not very elegant) to separate the -ig- and make it into a separate verb, just as we do in English:

Ŝi igis lin ami la infanon. = She made him love the child.

...More than once a month counts as overuse.
It seems like this is actually the "best" usage in this source...
Ni aĉetigos la kolbason al ŝi. = We’ll make her buy the sausage.
