mnlg:I would just go with "liberstilaj poetoj", but I have to admit I do not exactly know what freestyle means in that context.I recommend the historical documentary Freestyle - the Art of Rhyme which shows quite neutral (=non-hyped) how the Hiphop Freestyle genre developed.

That was the reason why I used variations of "liber... stil...". In respect of the pioneers.
