Infuzi (tr) is the more specific word for preparation with hot/boiling water brogi per bolanta akvo vegetaĵon kaj lasi la tuton ripozi sufiĉe longtempe por solvi la esencajn vegetaĵajn substancojn.

darkweasel:But normally you don't boligas la kafon, but you boligas la akvon.komenstanto:"Boli" coffee therefore wouldnt be too bad.If anything, boligi kafon.
Therefore I think sudanglo is right, infuzi is the best word.

horsto:Technically, if we assume we mean "kafo" as in the coffee separate to the water.darkweasel:But normally you don't boligas la kafon, but you boligas la akvon.komenstanto:"Boli" coffee therefore wouldnt be too bad.If anything, boligi kafon.
Therefore I think sudanglo is right, infuzi is the best word.
But since "kafo" can technically mean "varme konsumata trinkaĵo" (obviously with a substance coming from coffee beans mixed in ), and since any "warmly consumed drink" in human terms must have (now mineralised?) water in it (besides methylated spirits ), we can assume that the phrase "boligi la kafon" means "boligi la akvon por la kafa trinkaĵo" in normal speech.
If someone misunderstands "boligi la kafon" as "heat the coffee at 4827°C so even the carbon is bubbling liquid", then I think Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory has a friend .
But for teaching how to make a great coffee, I agree with infuzi/whatver you guys are saying, since "boligu la kafon" as an instruction to a beginner sounds like it could result in confusion (like sticking coffee grounds into a cup and putting it into the microwave until it seems hot enough).

sudanglo:Ni mistrafis la buson/la vojon. We got on the wrong bus/took the wrong path.Dunno if it was directed to me, but thanks for the examples! So "mis" is misdirected "aim", and "mal" is complete lack of aim altogether, not even paying attention etc.
Ni maltrafis la buson. We missed the bus.

sudanglo:Ni mistrafis la buson/la vojon. We got on the wrong bus/took the wrong path.Yes, I like those examples. Same goes for the ones that Miland gave.
Ni maltrafis la buson. We missed the bus.
I think the way johmue used 'mistrafi' was a bit off the mark.

For ‘feel free’, I might just say something like vi ĉiam novas…, although some of the other suggestions I think are better, such as rephrasing with bonvenaj.
