Technically, if we assume we mean "kafo" as in the coffee separate to the water.

But since "kafo" can technically mean "varme konsumata trinkaĵo" (obviously with a substance coming from coffee beans mixed in rido.gif), and since any "warmly consumed drink" in human terms must have (now mineralised?) water in it (besides methylated spirits rido.gif), we can assume that the phrase "boligi la kafon" means "boligi la akvon por la kafa trinkaĵo" in normal speech.

If someone misunderstands "boligi la kafon" as "heat the coffee at 4827°C so even the carbon is bubbling liquid", then I think Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory has a friend rido.gif.

But for teaching how to make a great coffee, I agree with infuzi/whatver you guys are saying, since "boligu la kafon" as an instruction to a beginner sounds like it could result in confusion (like sticking coffee grounds into a cup and putting it into the microwave until it seems hot enough).

Dunno if it was directed to me, but thanks for the examples! So "mis" is misdirected "aim", and "mal" is complete lack of aim altogether, not even paying attention etc.

Yes, I like those examples. Same goes for the ones that Miland gave.

I think the way johmue used 'mistrafi' was a bit off the mark.

There are a lot of good answers on this thread!

For ‘feel free’, I might just say something like vi ĉiam novas…, although some of the other suggestions I think are better, such as rephrasing with bonvenaj.
