To file?

In American English we use the expression, "File that!" to mean (A) to put something into a file or (B) to express submitting such things as tax returns or an application to the appropriate authorities. I found the verb fajli, but that appears to mean to shape wood, metal (or a sentence, etc.) with tools and it is meanings A and B that I seek. Dosiero seems to be a file or a dossier, but I cannot find a verb form. How would I express those meanings?

What about meaning (B)? How would one express to file a tax return or a court document with the appropriate authorities, for example?

To file a tax return is just send it in, or to submit it.

This could be handled with ensendi/alsendi, or submeti, or prezenti.

If you wanted to convey the image of depositing, or handing over, a document, then perhaps loki ĉe/kun or deponi ĉe.

If the idea is that something should admitted to, or incorporated in, a file, then perhaps endosierigi. But meti en (la) dosieron also works.
