Alkanadi:Is this correct?Nope. Devi carries some sense of obligation or necessity. Its English counterparts are most closely must and to have to.
Bezoni is simply to need or to require.

pobotay:Just to check, would these sentences be correct?Yes.
Oni devas iri al laboro akurate
Oni bezonas aeron por spiri
manfazil:What is the difference between "necesi" and "bezoni"?"Necesi" means "to be necessary". The first sentence is incorrect.
Example:
Mi necesas akvon por trinki.
or
Mi bezonas akvon por trinki.
FractalBloom (Prikaz profila) 10. kolovoza 2015. 16:05:50
Vestitor:Necesi is not 'need' it is necessary."Akvo estas necesa" or "Akvo necesas". Bezoni is transitive and necesi is intransitive.
Mi bezonas akvon = I need water.
Akvo estas necesi por vivo = Water is necessary to life. (or is that necese/a?)
"Akvo estas necesi" would mean "water is the act of being necessary".
