Does anyone here know the Esperanto equivalent of the idiom "One man’s misfortune is another man’s gain."?

Yes.

Closest I can find are "Kio al unu donas forton, al alia donas morton", "Por unu -- festeno, por alia -- ĉagreno," and "Akiro kaj perdo rajdas duope."

Malĝojo por iu estas ĝojo por alio?

Thank you, these are all good with some nuances between them.

For "another person" you need alia (homo).

Or aliulo.

A fairly literal translation also works. A pithy version could be "Perdo cxi tie - gajno alie." Or "Tiu perdas, alia gajnas"
