How do I translate this sentence correctly?

I came across an exercise to translate a phrase into Esperanto and I don't know if I structured my answer correctly.

Translate: an apple large and good.

My answer: pomo granda kaj bona

Should it be 'granda kaj bona pomo' or is the above correct?

En espéranto la ordo de vortoj estas pli fleksebla, dank'al terminaĵoj.

I am stopped cold by the exercise of maljuna and juna Filipo and money. I cannot see why my sentences are in correct. Are there answer sheets for Lernu?
