I ran across the phrase "al la algulo" in a little book I'm reading: Esperanto: The International Langage
The phrases in the book have the translations right after them, but on this one it cut off the last word. I cannot find the word "algulo" anywhere, even in JC Wells dictionary. The closest thing I could find was "algo" - seaweed, algae, and "ulo" - person
I don't think "algae man" was what was intended here!
The phrase was among others that demonstrated giving directions, so I'm assuming this word is related to direction as well.
Or perhaps it is a typo in the book?

I was gonna say "maybe it's a non-opposite-of-right form of "left"", but that appears to be "liva".
Algulo also doesn't appear in ReVo (reta-vorator.de reta-vortaro.de (dankon qwertz!
), so perhaps it is a misspelling of "angulo" (angle, corner), in the sense of Post tio, iru al la stratangulo kaj pasas apud la vendejeto (.. then, go to the street corner and pass by the store).
Algulo also doesn't appear in ReVo (
