He said to the people whom the man claims to be trying to help.In Spanish, this would be written like:
Él dijo al la gente a quienes claman estar intentando ayudar.I've come up with a few renderings in Esperanto for this, though I don't know which is correct:
Li diris al la homoj, kiujn la viro asertas provi helpi.I think the sentence at the bottom is correct. Mi pensas, ke la frazo en la malsupro estas la ĝusta.
Li diris al la homoj, kiujn la viro asertas provante helpi.
Li diris al la homoj, kiujn la viro asertas esti provanta helpi.
Li diris al la homoj, al kiuj la viro asertas, ke li provas helpi.
Li diris al la homoj, kiujn la viro asertante provas helpi.
Mi ankaŭ akceptas respondojn en Esperanto. Mi demandas kiel oni tradukas frazon en Esperanto, kiu havas plurajn sinsekvajn verbojn.
