What would be the most correct & elegant translation of the English 'Talk to me'? I've three alternatives here and I'm not sure about the third one. 'Alparolu min.' 'Parolu al mi.' 'Parolu mie.' Dankon!

Parolu al/kun mi.

"Parolu mie" is gibberish. Something along the lines of 'Speak I-ly" ?!

Yep, I had thought that one was probably wrong. I was thinking it would translate as 'talk me-ally,' or 'talk me-wardly'.

Thanks for the clarification & correct translation, Chainy! rideto.gif

Regarding the first two, I think it's generally a good idea to avoid prefixed prepositions where comfortably possible. For example, "mi ekpripensis ĝin" is more complicated - and more likely to delay a beginner - than "mi ekpensis pri ĝi" or even "mi komencis pensi pri ĝi".

parolu al mi

Sed mi ne estas lingvisto. Simple estas la plej komprenita fraso por mi

It is just the most understand option you propose for me

If you mean 'speak to me' in general, then the verb paroli is right. However if you mean 'tell me' (something specific) then diru al mi would be more appropriate.
