In 2005, Stephen Colbert introduced the term 'truthiness', which, according to Wikipedia, "is a "truth" that a person claims to know intuitively "from the gut" or that it "feels right" without regard to evidence, logic, intellectual examination, or facts."
Any ideas on how that could be translated to Esperanto with the least possible loss of meaning?

Cisksje:A stab in the dark -I like this, but don't know how vero and umo interact.
verumeco.
Otherwise I'd suggest something like "vereteco" ~ "little-truth-ness", as if the truth is only partially founded.

The truthiness is a new word, which would not be understood without a previous explanation. So is "memvero".

ceigered:Well, it is only a beginner's stab in the dark. My rationale is that 'um' indicates some kind of tendency towards whatever, hence, ver-um-ec-o (which I hope) = the quality of being in a state of tending to truth.Cisksje:A stab in the dark -I like this, but don't know how vero and umo interact.

tending to truth

Truthiness is something that isn't necessarily true. It just seems true.

darkweasel:Pass. Will consult the long neglected books - not to ascertain the correctness of your suggestion, but do discover if I did in fact mean to say what I said.Cisksje:Seems you actually wanted to use -em and not -um...?
tending to truth
