Hello fluent speakers! Is there a preferred way to say "cat food"? Would it be "nutrado de kato"? That seems awkward to me as a beginner, so I gladly bow to superior experience. Would "katnutrado" work?

Katnutraĵo(j) or katmanĝaĵo(j) will work fine.

Darkweasel's proposals sound logical for processed catfood that comes in containers, but if you want to refer to something that just happens to be suitable for cats (e.g. raw fish or meat), then in my view manĝaĵo/nutraĵo por katoj could work.

musajxo - at least I saw a cat that ate one of this.

Once we also tried to give a beer to a cat - results were very funny. I think the cat liked it very much.
